How We Do It
From Northern Ghana'sFields to Your Jar.
Our process is designed around one principle: get the best tomatoes from Northern Ghana's farms into your jar as quickly and as naturally as possible.

Partnering with Northern Ghana Farmers
We work directly with smallholder tomato farmers across Northern Ghana, helping them plan harvests around our processing schedule so tomatoes are collected at peak ripeness — maximising freshness and income for the farmers.
Harvest & Collection
Tomatoes are carefully hand-selected at the point of harvest. Only the ripest, firmest fruits make the cut. We coordinate rapid collection to minimise the time between field and facility — the key to superior freshness.
Washing & Sorting
Every tomato is thoroughly washed and sorted on arrival. Any fruit that doesn't meet our quality standards is separated — ensuring only the best enters your jar. Our sorting process runs within hours of harvest, not days.
The 2-in-1 Processing Innovation
Here's where we innovate. While whole tomatoes are preserved, we simultaneously extract and process the remaining tomatoes into a rich puree or sauce. Both are combined in one jar — giving you fresh tomatoes and sauce in a single product.
Quality Assurance
Every batch is tested for taste, texture, nutritional quality, and food safety before it's approved. We adhere to strict quality standards — no preservatives, no artificial additives, no compromises.
Sealing & Packaging
Approved batches are sealed in airtight jars that lock in freshness and nutrients without any artificial help. Our packaging is designed to keep TomaFresh products at peak quality from the day they leave our facility to the day they reach your kitchen.
Distribution Across Ghana
TomaFresh products are distributed to retailers, markets, and customers across Ghana. We prioritise fast delivery to preserve freshness — and we're expanding our distribution network every day.
Our Impact
More Than a Product.
A Purpose.
Every jar of TomaFresh is a small act of climate action, economic empowerment, and food sovereignty — all rolled into one.
Supporting Farmers
By buying directly at fair prices and processing tomatoes quickly, TomaFresh gives Northern Ghana's smallholder farmers a reliable market and a fair income.
Reducing Waste
Ghana loses 40% of its tomatoes to postharvest damage. TomaFresh captures tomatoes that would have been lost and converts them into nutrition — not methane.
Cutting Emissions
Rotting tomatoes release methane — a greenhouse gas more potent than CO₂. Every jar of TomaFresh represents tomatoes that didn't rot, and methane that wasn't released.
Food Security
Ghana spends over $100M annually on tomato imports. TomaFresh is building the local processing capacity to keep that money in Ghana and make quality tomato products affordable for all.
Our Promise
Zero Compromise on Quality
We never use artificial preservatives, colours, or flavour enhancers. Our quality assurance process is rigorous because we believe Ghanaians deserve the best — not just affordable, but genuinely good.
