We’re building TomaFresh from the soil up. Our team engaged tomato farmers in the Kumbungu District of Northern Ghana to establish direct partnerships for raw materials sourcing. Kumbungu is known for strong tomato production, but farmers often face high post-harvest losses due to market gluts and limited processing options.

During the engagement, we shared our mission to process fresh tomatoes into shelf-stable products, reduce waste, and create a more stable market for growers. We also sampled our products so farmers could see the end result of their harvest. Why it matters: Direct sourcing means fairer prices for farmers, consistent quality for our processing, and less tomato waste across the value chain. It’s how we ensure that reducing post-harvest losses starts at the farm gate. Thank you to the Kumbungu farmers and community for the warm welcome, honest conversations, and partnership ahead. This is the foundation of the TomaFresh mode
